Safeguarding

At Hub Cymru Africa, we believe that everyone we come into contact with—regardless of age, sex, pregnancy, gender, disability, race, religion or sexual orientation—has the right to be protected from all forms of harm, abuse and exploitation.

In Wales, safeguarding means preventing and protecting children and adults at risk from abuse or neglect and educating those around them to recognise the signs and dangers

We are committed to protecting all people from harm that arises from coming into contact with our staff or programmes.

At Hub Cymru Africa, we are working to improve safeguarding standards throughout our work, through the three pillars of prevention, reporting and response, helping build a safer environment for everyone.

Hub Cymru Africa operates under the SSAP safeguarding policy. Click here to read it.

If you need to make a report about a safeguarding incident concerning a member of Hub Cymru Africa or SSAP staff email claireoshea@hubcymruafrica.wales.

Hub Cymru Africa is here to support Wales Africa partnerships to strengthen their safeguarding work, through training, 1:1 support, and curated resources. If you would like to discuss any aspect of your safeguarding practice please contact us at advice@hubcymruafrica.wales

Partners in Wales can also contact WCVA for support through safeguarding@wcva.cymru and use these resources from WCVA.
