This training is for staff, volunteers and trustees of organisations working in partnership in the Wales and Africa sector, who want to improve their safeguarding policy and practices.
This refresher training is for those who have completed a Safeguarding training with Hub Cymru Africa (or equivalent) more than 2 years ago, or those who have previously completed a training and simply want to refresh and deepen their knowledge.
The training will allow participants to take a more in-depth look at:
The training will use case studies to work through Safeguarding practice and highlight best practice. If you have a scenario you would like to work through, please email advice@hubcymruafrica.wales.
There will also be an opportunity to share experience, ask questions, and find out where to go for further resources.
Organisations who are applying for the Welsh Government/WCVA Wales Africa funding stream need to have completed a Safeguarding training (Essentials, or Refresher) in the last 2 years to be eligible for a grant.
