Kieran O’Brien, director of the storytelling agency Ministory (Ministory.co.uk) and creator of the ‘Storytelling for a cause’ methodology, presents this online workshop explored the nature of stories and storytelling for organisations working in global solidarity.
Kieran has over 15 years of working in the charity sector on a wide range of creative projects and campaigns. His central belief is that what holds us back, in terms of audience engagement, is the wholesale adoption of marketing logic within cause-driven organisations. Instead, he argues, we need to be storytellers. Not just telling stories to evoke emotions, but stories that are substantive and create the foundations in which meaningful change can happen.
