Written for larger NGOs but still helpful: Community Feedback Mechanisms (CFMs) provide a method for strengthening your accountability to the communities you work with. CFMs provide a channel for community members to easily raise questions, suggestions and concerns about project activities and have agreed on processes for action to be taken in response. In this way, community members can ‘hold an organisation to account for their actions, and ensure their answerability for how resources are used in their community.
This information sheet explains the purpose of setting up a Community Feedback mechanism and some of the issues groups may encounter.
