Eligibility:
Charities Regie rested with OSCR. Most applications for responsive grants are from charities based in Scotland, but we will consider charities working UK-wide or where the main focus of the work is overseas development so long as you have sufficient support or activity in Scotland to have achieved registration with OSCR.

Please note this is the last round of this grant funding ahead of the Charity winding up. Unrestricted grants under the Charity’s Responsive grants is support of small to medium-sized charities where we believe a small grant is more likely to make a difference. Focus areas are very broad. We do not currently support organisations or projects where the main object is: advancement of education, advancement of arts, heritage, culture or science, sport, animal welfare, work linked to the armed forces (including young people’s cadet groups linked to the forces). In the final stages of choosing which charities to support, we place considerable attention on the organisation’s charity accounts in terms of conformity to charity law and indication of a well-managed organisation.

Eligibility:
The Foundation supports local, state, and regional organizations in Africa, Asia, the Caribbean, Latin America, and the Middle East in the countries where the projects are based.  It also supports organizations located in upper-income countries working with local partners in these areas.  It does not support projects in post-Soviet states or Balkan states.
