Maliasili works with the best African conservation organisations that care about both people and ecosystems. Their partners develop solutions to help African societies and communities make conservation work amidst rapid changes and increasing pressures. They provide leadership, build partnerships, and integrate conservation with human rights and economic opportunity.
Maliasili selects partners based on the following criteria: Organizations must be passionate and committed to their mission, impact, and improving their organisational performance. They must have capable and motivated leadership with a compelling vision and the desire to work collaboratively. They must address at least one of the following: strengthening local rights over land and natural resources, building stronger local management and decision-making institutions, or delivering economic incentives for communities to invest in conservation.
