Guernsey Overseas Aid Commission Single Year Grant Aid

Location:: Countries which feature on the lowest quartile of the UN Human Development Index (positions 145 to 193).
Grant Size:: Up to GBP £70,000
Eligibility:: All humanitarian and international development charities and organisations it supports have to be registered with a charity commission and incorporated in the United Kingdom or registered in the Channel Islands. For single year Grant Aid awards the charity must have been established for at least 3 years prior to applying for funding and have 3 years of audited accounts. The in-country partner must be a registered NGO in the project country with at least 3 board members.

Projects which provide for the basic needs of people living in the world’s least developed countries. Basic needs include medical and health facilities, educational programmes and facilities, housing, water and sanitation provision and the means of sustaining a living, e.g. through agriculture, horticulture or through training in sustainable employment skills. The Commission supports projects which will generate a lasting and sustainable improvement in the living conditions for the communities receiving the aid.
