Eligibility:: Nominations are made by governments of UNESCO Member States or non-governmental organizations (NGOs) in official partnership with UNESCO. They can nominate up to three individuals, institutions, or organizations making strong, innovative contributions to girls’ and women’s education. Self-nominations are not possible.

The UNESCO Prize for Girls’ and Women’s Education honours outstanding and innovative contributions made by individuals, institutions, and organizations to advance girls’ and women’s education. It is the first UNESCO Prize of this nature and is unique in showcasing successful projects that improve and promote the educational prospects of girls and women and in turn, the quality of their lives.

Grand Challenges Canada Artificial Intelligence (AI) to Accelerate Charitable Giving

Location:: LMICs
Grant Size:: up to USD $150,000 per 12 month project
Eligibility:: Nonprofit and Civil Society Organizations, including registered nonprofits and charities, non-governmental organizations and community-based organizations. For-profit entities that have a clear public-benefit mission aligned with the goals of the RFP are eligible. Proposed activities must advance equitable, responsible, or safe uses of AI in ways that benefit society. Proposals may be submitted through partnerships and other collaborative arrangements. In such cases, one lead organization must serve as the primary applicant and submit the proposal, with partner organizations included as sub-grantees.
