Africa Autumn Ball by SSAP

Sub-Sahara Advisory Panel (SSAP) welcomes you to their gala celebrating 15 years since its founding and its achievements in Wales, the UK and across Africa.

Dress code: Traditional attire.

SSAP want to celebrate the vibrancy of Africa and the African community in Wales, so dress to impress! The event will showcase the cultural treasures of Africa, the world’s most vibrant continent and celebrating her food, fashion, music, dance, poetry and more!

SSAP welcome everyone at this event. If you do not own traditional African attire, wear your own traditional costume or dress to impress inspired by the beauty of Africa.

To celebrate fifteen years of SSAP, we’re pulling out all the stops; all our guests will be treated like celebrities. A professional photographer will make sure to get pictures from all the right angles as you step on our red carpet. You will be greeted with a glass of bubbly (alcoholic and non-alcoholic) and welcomed to an exciting evening. Local storytellers, poets, musicians and our guest speakers will keep you entertained as you savour food from local African caterers and stay fresh with choice beverage brands from the continent available at our bar, which will be open throughout the night.

After the entertainment, step on to the dancefloor and let our resident DJ Dott take you through old and new music from across the continent. Forget your worries and dance the night away to the sounds of Highlife, Rhumba, Makossa, Ndomboloo, Afrobeats, Soukous, Kizomba and more.
