A Swiss non-profit that funds projects which benefit biodiversity in a wild landscape. Projects must conserve, protect, enhance, restore, and/or reconnect habitats within a given landscape that are particularly important for the biodiversity there. EOCA will consider projects which provide social/development benefits, but the primary goal of the project must be to address a conservation issue or concern, with a link to reconnecting people with nature. The funded projects will be chosen from a shortlist via a public vote and/or an EOCA’s members vote. Note that ‘the public vote involves some effort on the part of the projects involved, to mobilise supporters and generate votes for their project over a two-week period’.

Grant size:

Up to €30,000 over a maximum of two years. Any applications over this amount will not be considered. The total project budget may be higher if there are other sources of funding.

The True Colours Trust Palliative Care Development in Africa Programme for Small Grants

Location:: Africa
Grant Size:: Maximum of GBP £5,000 over a 12 month period.
Eligibility:: The programme is open to registered hospices and palliative care providers based and managed in Africa. Any organisation currently in receipt of funding from The True Colours Trust is not eligible for funding, even if that funding is not from the Africa Small Grants Programme. Any organisation which has received funding from the programme previously should wait at least one year from the submission of its final narrative and financial report before reapplying. Organisations whose income over the last three years averages $500,000 or above are not eligible to apply.
