The Fund supports grassroots organizations expanding access to quality education and sports for children in underserved communities.

Organisations may apply for General Operating Support or Program/Project Support.

Grants range from $50,000 to $250,000 USD; grants may not represent more than 50% of the applicant’s annual budget for the proposed grant year.

Grants are for one year only; grantees are not invited to reapply. Approximately 150 organizations will be funded.

Grant Size:: U.S. USD $7,000 – USD $20,000 Size will depend on annual budget, nature of activities and whether the organisation is already known to the GFCF.
Eligibility:: Community philanthropy organisations, community foundations, women’s funds, environmental funds, national public foundations, grassroots grant makers, and any other kinds of organisations that identify with the concept and practice of community philanthropy may apply.
