FemFocus aims to advance women’s economic participation as entrepreneurs, combat violence against women and girls, and strengthen women’s leadership in conflict prevention, mediation, and peacebuilding. FemFocus is part of the government’s ‘Focus’ policy framework which aims to strengthen local civil society organisations, so that they can provide the necessary services and conduct dialogue.

Grant size:

Total budget envelopes depend on theme: €54,835,000 (women’s entrepreneurship), €114,655,000 (combating violence/supporting women rights defenders), €39,880,000 (strengthening role of women in peace and security).
