The Safe Abortion Action Fund (SAAF)
Type of project: Early funding announcement: SAAF provides flexible multi-year grants, that can be used for specific projects or to support the work of organisations more generally. we can fund any work related to abortion, including service provision, political advocacy, behaviour change initiatives, public campaigns, and more. Your proposal can include staff costs, activity costs, and anything else you may need to reach your stated goals. Full details will be published in January 2022.
Location: Organisations located in countries on the list of Official Development Assistance Recipients
Eligibility: We accept applications from groups with an income of less than $1.5 million USD (in 2021), located in countries on the above list. Your organisation must be not for profit. We do not accept applications from individuals, university or UN departments, or branches of large international organisations.
Grant size: new grantees: up to $65,000 USD for a two-year period; Current partners: initial grants of $150,000 for a four-year period. At least 50 grants are expected to be awarded in total.
