Project Description

Type of project: The 5% Initiative is France’s additional contribution mechanism to the Global Fund to Fight AIDS, Tuberculosis and Malaria (GF). This call for proposals will finance projects meeting the four objectives of the GF 2017-2022 strategy: Improving systems for the management, procurement and supply of health products; Strengthening the knowledge, skills and practices of human resources for health to meet the needs of the health system and populations; Supporting reproductive, women’s, children’s and adolescent health, and platforms for integrated service delivery; Promoting and strengthening community systems and the involvement of communities in national decision-making processes.
Location: Algeria, Benin, Burma/Myanmar, Burkina Faso, Burundi, Cambodia, Cameroon, Comoros, Congo, Côte d’Ivoire, Djibouti, Ethiopia, Gabon, Gambia, Ghana, Guinea, Equatorial Guinea, Guinea-Bissau, Haiti, Lao PDR, Lebanon, Liberia, Madagascar, Mali, Morocco, Mauritius, Mauritania, Mozambique, Niger, Central African Republic, Democratic Republic of Congo, Dominican Republic, Rwanda, Senegal, Sierra Leone, Chad, Thailand, Togo, Tunisia, Vietnam.
Eligibility: Applicants must be registered legal entities with their head office in one of the eligible countries or in France. International organizations, with the exception of regional organizations, will not be able to lead projects or receive funding. All applicants must include at least one local partner from each implementing country.
Grant size: € 500,000 – € 3,000,000 over 24 – 48 months
