Project Description
Texel Foundation
Type of project: We partner with charities and social enterprises which promote the causes we care about most: health, education, social impact and artistic opportunity.
Health – We fund medical research and clinical trials to help prevent and cure life-threatening or limiting conditions. We also give grants to organisations which provide end-of-life care, promote new, safer or more inclusive practices, or support those suffering from anxiety or poor mental health.
Education – As well as supporting the traditional side of education through university scholarships, internships and bursaries, we assist professional teaching programmes that, for example, train teachers and doctors to work in rural areas. We also promote the education of professionals and communities on social issues, such as modern slavery, food poverty and homelessness.
Social Impact – We sponsor organisations that promote skills development and apprenticeships to enable financial independence. Our partners in this area might also support victims of social exclusion resulting from physical or mental impairment, political events, natural disasters or socio-economic status.
Location: Worldwide. A list of current grant locations is available here.
Grant size: We offer a range of different grants including the options of unrestricted and matched funding. We recognise the full costs associated with running a VCSE organisation and encourage grant applicants to include operational costs in their funding requests.
