Type of project: Health – projects that address one or more of the main causes of child mortality: New-born health, Pneumonia, Diarrhoeal diseases, Malaria, Malnutrition and WASH. Education: we will consider education-related proposals backed by evidence of the approach’s effect on learning outcomes.
Location: Ethiopia (new applications temporarily suspended), India, Malawi, Rwanda, Tanzania, Uganda, Zambia.
Eligibility: To be eligible for funding potential partners must: be registered as a charity; Have an annual income of over £1 million; Have a proven 3-year track record in addressing the relevant issue; Have an established in-country presence in the relevant country; Work in collaboration with, rather than in parallel to, the national government of the Priority Country.
Grant size: New partners may apply for grants of between £100,000 and £200,000 per grant year. We are happy to consider applications for a contribution towards the total cost of a project, rather than the full project budget.
