Grand Challenges Canada – Stars in Global Health 

Type of project: Bold ideas to support Ghana’s ambition to increase access to quality Maternal and Neonatal Health (MNH) services. These innovative solutions are expected to improve patient referrals, increase accessibility & availability of patient transport, improve delivery of quality emergency MNH services, and/or increase availability of essential MNH medicines and supplies. This will support Ghana’s ultimate goal of reducing maternal, perinatal and neonatal morbidities and mortalities, reducing direct obstetric case fatality rates, and reducing the rate of stillbirths.

Location: Ghana

Eligibility: Organizations incorporated in North, West, East, Central and Southern Africa are eligible to apply, as well as Canadian institutions.

Grant size: CAD $200,000 to CAD $250,000

Closing date: 14 August (Registration required by 2 August)
