Global Grand Challenges Strengthening Modelling and Analytics Capacity and Ecosystem for Women’s Health

Type of project:  Innovative approaches to modelling of women’s health issues or of broader health topics that incorporate a gender lens. We are looking for projects that will achieve at least one of the following objectives: Increase the number of trained modelers, especially women with gender expertise based in low-income and middle-income countries; Achieve a better understanding of issues that disproportionately affect women through modelling; Improve engagement with modelling approaches to support strategic planning and/or evaluation work.

Eligibility: This initiative is open to organizations based in low-and-middle-income countries, including non-profit organizations, for-profit companies, international organizations, government agencies and academic institutions. Collaborations with global partners is acceptable however, at least 80% of the funding needs to be awarded directly to organizations based in low-and middle-income countries. We particularly encourage applications from women-led organizations and applications involving projects led by women.

Grant size:  Up to $500,000
