Amplify Change Strengthening Grants

Type of project: Strengthening grants support SRHR advocacy work in small to medium civil society organisations. These projects seek to engage and contribute to bringing about change in one or more of Amplify Change’s priority themes. The duration of a Strengthening Grant is 24 to 36 months. We ask applicants to review our Theory of Change and think about which outcome or outcomes they will contribute to through their proposed project.

Location: Afghanistan, Angola, Bangladesh, Benin, Bhutan, Botswana, Burkina Faso, Burundi, Cameroon, Cape Verde, Central African Republic, Chad, Comoros, Congo, Republic Of Congo, The Democratic Republic of the Cote D’Ivoire, Djibouti, Equatorial Guinea, Eritrea, Eswatini, Ethiopia, Gabon, Gambia, The, Ghana, Guinea, Guinea-Bissau, India, Kenya, Lesotho, Liberia, Madagascar, Malawi, Maldives, Mali, Mauritania, Mauritius, Mozambique, Myanmar, Namibia, Nepal, Niger, Nigeria, Pakistan, Rwanda, Sao Tome and Principe, Senegal, Sierra Leone, Somalia, South Africa, South Sudan, Sri Lanka, Sudan, Tanzania, Togo, Uganda, Zambia, Zimbabwe

Eligibility: Only registered civil society organisations from the listed countries may apply. Applicants must also be small to medium sized organisations with an average annual expenditure over the past two years between £250,000 and £500,000 per year. All applicants need to have a bank account. International Non-Governmental Organisations based in the Global North and UN agencies are not eligible to lead a proposal.

Grant size: Up to £200,000. Up to 40% can be used to support the costs of organisational development and boosting organisational effectiveness.
