Wales and Africa Health Links Network is holding its annual conference on 7th October 2022 at the Temple of Peace and Health in Cardiff.

This is the first in-person event since 2019, and we’re looking forward to bringing you all together around the theme ‘Empathy; from interpersonal to global’.

Empathy is the bedrock of successful healthcare; to reflect this we have a programme of speeches, workshops and discussions that will help us to explore the ways empathy can help us in the delivery of our international partnerships and how it manifests as a value through Wales’s approach to global health.

Along with speakers from across the global health sector in Wales and beyond, this will be the first opportunity for Professor Kelechi Nnoaham, the recently appointed Chair of Wales and Africa Health Links Network, to set out his ambitions for his term. Kelechi, along with the newly appointed Vice-Chair, Professor Julia Terry, will host panels and discussions to support health links across Wales to deliver empathetic work as we emerge from the most challenging phases of COVID-19.

Alongside a packed programme there will be networking opportunities, great Nigerian food and time to explore the work of your colleagues from across Wales.
