The next instalment in our Springboard series of free online courses will start on 10th October 2022 and will focus on Monitoring, Evaluation, Accountability and Learning (MEAL).
The Springboard courses will provide you with support to increase your organisation’s knowledge and improve its practices in project development and delivery. You will also be able to access resources and tools to support your growth.
Each course will require a time commitment of 20 hours over 8 weeks for you to get the most out of your learning. The course will be delivered through a mixture of self-learn workbooks and Hub Cymru Africa-hosted Zoom Meetings. With your peers and the Hub Cymru Africa team to support your learning, you will put your learning into practice by applying it to your own work. Partners in Wales and Africa are welcome to join. You will need stable access to the internet as the course is delivered through our website and in Zoom Meetings.
This course will look at:
- What MEAL is, why it is important and who it is for
- Power and ethics in MEAL and how to be inclusive
- What can be measured, sources of data and how they can be gathered
- MEAL planning, project planning and how they fit together
- How you evaluate your project
This course will increase your understanding of MEAL, build your skills and the confidence to do MEAL effectively and help you to tackle any MEAL challenges that you may be facing.
Finally, we will facilitate discussions to help develop action points, based on learning, specific to individuals’ and groups’ areas of work.
