Medical Equipment Donations
Are you donating technical equipment to a hospital in Africa?
THET (Tropical Health and Education Trust) have created this useful guide full of information and advice on how to make donations successful. This guide focuses upon how to decide whether or not to donate complex equipment and some of the things to consider; drafting a donation agreement with your partner; options for sourcing the equipment including sourcing across the continent, or alternatively shipping the equipment safely and clearing customs; to training users and maintenance staff.
Humatem is a not for profit focused on supporting effective medical equipment donations for developing countries through facilitating an exchange platform which offers tools and services for donations.
In fact, there are a multitude of organisations which provide services around medical equipment donations, many offering refurbished equipment free for charities.
